Liqueur

Gold Strike (also known as Gold Wasser de Danzig) is a cinnamon gold-leaf liqueur made from a variety of imported woodland herbs, seeds and roots, with a central ingredient of orange peel or Curacao peel. It is strong, at 50% alcohol or 100 proof.

The liqueur bottle contains flocculent pieces of genuine 24K gold leaf in a similar manner to Goldschlager, which are a harmless part of the drink's tradition. Bols Gold Strike is sometimes called bride's tears, which are symbolised by the small gold leaves.
