Bartlett pear

The Bartlett pear is a bell-shaped pear with a white flesh, it's familiar with Americans and is often sold in canned form. It is also known as Williams in Europe. The pears themselves turn from a green color to yellow, and blush with pink; the Red Bartlett has a crimson skin. As the fruit ripens, the skin actually becomes lighter in color, turning to a bright red.
