Align the shot glasses in the following order: Tomato (red), Tequila (white) and Lemon (green), resembling the Mexican Flag. Quickly gulp one after another: Tomato, Tequila and finally finish with the Lemon.

Use Lime Juice

This should be made with Lime Juice, not Lemon - thus the GREEN. Also - try spicing up the tomato juice with some Tabasco, etc.

The recipe is not accurate. The red comes from a companion of the tequila called sangrita (little blood), which is made with lemon , lime and orange juice mixed with grounded pikin chili.
and believe me this way it tastes a lot better than whith tomato, but I understand that outside Mexico sangrita will not be easy to come by, so I guess tomato can be a viable substitute.
The green comes from Lemon juice.
