Brazilian Daiquiri recipe

1 oz light rum
2 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

Shake ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass.

Well, I would like to know how one might classify this drink as "brazilian." Rum is rare here, not to mention 2 types. No one uses brown sugar. And vanilla extract is only found after 3 days of exhausting search in every grocery store in Sao Paulo.
A "brazilian daiquiri" is a caipirinha, which is exactly the same drink made with cachaca instead of rum. Not only is it more brazilian... it's much better!
Sorry for the criticism... I'll make you a caipirinha on your next trip here.
