Tequila Slammer recipe

Lick the back of your hand, put salt on the (now) sticky back of your hand, lick the salt, down a large dose of straight tequila and then bite into the lemon.

That's just a shot of tequila. A tequila slammer is one part tequila, one part 7-up -- you put both in a shot glass, cover with your hand and slam the glass down on the bar. Drink it fast, while it's still fizzing.

The recipe is actually part tequila part 7up and a drizzle of grenadine, then slam it and drink while fizzing! I was just in mexico i should know!

The "lick, sip, suck" method is known as a "tequila ritual" or "tequila cruda" not a slammer. If your barman is giving you a lick sip suck tell him to find out what the real tequila slammer is!

Listen up!!! It's called a SLAMMER becaaaaaaaause you SLAM the glass on the bar whilst covering the top with your hand. The 7-up or lemonade and tequila fizzes up then just like a TEQUILA SHOT you drink it all in one hit... nuff said.

If you don't like the traditional salt and lemon method try using Orange and Cinnamon instead. Trust me it's delicious...
