Brass Monkey recipe

1/2 oz rum
1/2 oz vodka
4 oz orange juice

Toss the rum and vodka together and stir gently. Pour in the orange juice, and shake well. Pour over ice in a highball or tall glass.

Spies during WWII used this drink to find each other. They went to a bar called Brass Monkey and ordered the drink. While they drank it they marked off the letters in Brass Monkey on the coaster and the remaining letters spelled out the name of the allied spy they needed to contact while in town.

I totally agree with Bizzy, a brass monkey is made with a forty and you drink the cone then fill it back up with OJ. It tastes like grapefruit.

I followed the listed recipe, but it tasted like straight OJ. So I doubled the alcohol and it tastes more like a real drink.

Beastie boys version says sunny d, thats for the forty. But yes the recipe above is the REAL brass monkey. there is no such thing as putting OJ in a forty, as dave chapelle would say "what the F is juice?".
