We invented this drink at Glastonbury Festival in 2007 when the rain was "of Biblical proportions" and we were starting to become miserable.
It was basically the remnants of our booze store. We first called it a Festival Russian but since then we have been having it for breakfast at festivals :) We have also had it for breakfast at Christmas & birthdays so it's versatile! It is also easy on the stomach & particularly fabulous when you have no reason to drive for 3-5 days.
The reason we serve it in cups is that we are essentially sitting in a field rather than our bar.
