A Ginger Nut is a type of English biscuit (=cookie in U.S.).
This tastes like a creamy liquid version of that and is delicious.
I was experimenting with some liqueurs I brought brack from France recently and came up with this.
I'm not sure how widely available Zingiber is but it's worth seeking out.
You could use Frangelico instead of the Creme de Chataigne but it it makes a bit too nutty - the chestnut liqueur has a creaminess which matches the ginger perfectly.
