The higher quality the root beer, the better. Usually whatever the establishment has on tap will be fine. I.B.C. Root Beer can be used as a more expensive alternative. The Bailey's and Jameson curdle much more slowly in the root beer as they do in an Irish Car Bomb, so this can be mixed as a drink. Don't worry about letting it sit for long enough to curdle, as this is so good that you'll drink it pretty fast.
A great alternative for those who aren't such a fan of Guinness. Simply alter the amount of root beer to suit your personal taste. Also cheaper and less calories than an Irish Car Bomb!
"Naturally, I had to name this one after myself. It's easy to describe to the bartender, but be prepared to get some funny looks. Order this one by name and maybe it'll catch on!"
