Pour the lager first then add the blackcurrant cordial. Top up with the cider. The colour sholud be very dark approaching the colour of Guiness. Drink several of these and watch the room spin around! N.B. Only the cheapest lager and cider from the students union bar should be used.

For an added kick use Westons extra strong, extra cloudy Scrumpy (available at all good supermarkets) and Carlsberg Special brew. This makes a pint about 8.5%. Time flies when your having fun, you'll be wondering where last week went!!!

This drink is called a Snakebite and it should be a dash of grenadine not blackcurrent. still great in large amounts though :D

It's actually called a snakebite 'and black'! A snakebite is just lager and cider without the blackcurrant.. and eugh to using grenadine in it! Has to be schwepps blackcurrant!

Well guys, every thing you placed above is true. BUT it depends on where you come from. In UK it is called Diesel and consists of exactly the same ingredients as described!
What a pity that we don't have cider in Bulgaria :-(

In the north of britain it tends to be called Diesel, and in the south Snakebite. Both are essentially the same drink, it's just a regional variation what it's called.

In Germany Diesel is coke and lager (weird eh?) and in north England a snakebite and black is a diesel.
I'm guessing that some scot / northern type went to Germany and couldn't get snake bite and black and tried something similar. I'm guessing that the drink became popular over there.
