Use cheap whiskey

The Dr. Pepper overpowers the flavor of the whiskey. The recipe works if you want to overpower the flavor of the whiskey (i.e. cheap whiskey).

My all-time favorite Jack Daniels drink. Absolutely delicious, way better than any beer. Make em as strong as you like!
