This is without a doubt my favorite drink. I do however go easier on the vermouth. 3/4 of a teaspoon is enough.

Add some drops of bitters - just a drop! Even a splash! It's wonderful.
Close, but not a pro version

This is the lazy version. The pro version has a dash of orange bitters in it. Or, in a pinch, a dash of Angostura bitters (since Orange bitters are even harder to find than Angostura). Plenty of ice in a 16 - 24 ounce glass, stirred briskly for 25-30 seconds, strain over fresh ice or into a chilled glass. If you're a bartender, that'll earn you an extra $3.00. Even if you're just making it for yourself and a friend, still worth the effort.
