1 jigger sambuca
1 shot gold tequila
3 dashes Tabasco® sauce

Layer the tequila over sambuca. Add tabasco sauce.

You should pour the tabasco on top of the sambuca and then pour the tequila slowly on top, thus creating the "flat-line".

The recipe shuld be:
1/2 shot sambuca
1/2 shot tequila
4-6 drops of Tabasco

If you pour in the tequila last, you risk mixing the tabasco/tequila. Sequence: Sambuca, then (using teaspoon for exact control) tequila, den the drops of tabasco in a circle. The tabaso then falls through the tequila, and makes an even layer on top of the sambuca.
This is a speciality at the collegebar where I work, always fun watching the "virgins" =D

Love this shit. First time I had it, barchick (hot Czech girl) dropped the Tabasco in slowly, in drops. Left about 6-8 tiny little red balls suspended about halfway down the glass. Bloody awesome.

This drink was served to those stupid enough, a race between 2 friends, 1/2 sambuca 1/2 tequila in 6 shot glasses (3 each) then 1 drop of tabasco in the first, 2 drops in the second etc.

My friends and i endulge in a more potent version of this recipe, which takes the name 18 year olds curse, Tobasco around the rim of the shot glass followed by 1/4 absinthe 1/4 sambucca and half tequila, this one really nocks your socks off.

Put the tabasko on top of the sambuka with a spoon, on top of that the tequila as well with a spoon

In certain small Finnish university circles this shot is known as the Hydrogen Bomb. However, in a Hydrogen Bomb the Tabasco should not be made into a flat line but a "mushroom cloud". Hence, Hydrogen Bomb.
