This drink is actually a Beautiful due to the fact that amaretto is Italian. A french connection is cognac & Grand Marnier.

Actually a beautiful refers to the cognac being hennesy, a leg spreader is done with couvousier, and it is a 3/4 3/4 mix. This recipe is actually a cognac godfather. And yes, grand marnier has to be present in a french conecction, no other orange liqeuer will make it. (no curacao, no trip sec, no cointreu)
