Don't be fooled by immitations. Sentosa Island, Singapore, was when I first experienced the delight deserving of the name Singapore Sling. Made properly, the drink is mysteriously refreshing on a hot sunny day. It's absolutely one of the tastiest drinks around. This is the proper way to make it and, yes, it's worth paying the extra money for the right ingridents. Don't try this without the Angostura bitters. And try to find an umbrella to pin in the pineapple and cherry garnish, add a slice of orange in the middle for extra effect.
My choice of mixed drinks.
