Cream Golden Cadillac

Replace the half cup of ice with a half cup of vanilla ice cream. Mix in a blender to the consistency of a milk shake. Be careful ladies, these are addicting.

I added a tiny splash of vanilla and a few drops of green food coloring for St. Patricks day. I think no matter how you alter this recipe, it is dangerous. Addicting is an understatement.

This is an imitation recipe used by places that do not have ice cream and try to pass this off as a Golden Cadillac. A Golden Cadillac is an ice cream drink. Period.

I agree with Bartender and Doc G. This drink calls for ice cream! It is definitely addictive. Even though this drink has been around since the seventies or so, many bartenders today don't know how to make it. I have ordered it and given the bartender the recipe, he made it and sold several more when they saw the results. If you haven't tried it, you should.

This drink has been around since the 60's, when I first drank one (perhaps before then, who knows). It definitely did not contain ice cream, but was made pretty much as the recipe above indicates. It was served in a martini or champagne saucer glass. Good then, good now.
