3 oz water

Pour the rum and the water into an old-fashioned glass with no ice cubes. Stir well.

Wow... close to being historically accurate... to be totally accurate you would need to add brown sugar and Lemon.

1 part rum (dark, usually original captain Morgans)
1 part water
1 part fruit juice ( half apple / half orange )

Fruit juice takes the place of the fruit that sailors added to their grog on ship to help prevent scurvy.

We made a whole bucket of this that only me and one other kid drank at a pirate party.

I'd sure like to give you the best groc recipe, as featured in Secret of Monkey Island, but someone might actually try it.. A shame, though :D
