3/4 oz sweet vermouth
2 dashes Angostura® bitters

Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.

Now this is a good Manhattan! Maker's Mark is a great start to a good Manhattan, although 3 to 1 seems right to me for the mix to vermouth.

The 3 to 1 ratio gives the whiskey a dominance it needs over the vermouth. Maker's Mark is smooth and delicious.
