Pensacola Bushwacker recipe

serve in

options

4 oz cream of coconut
2 oz Kahlua® coffee liqueur
1 oz Bacardi® black rum
1 oz creme de cacao
4 oz half-and-half
vanilla ice cream

Pour all ingredients into a blender (ice cream optional) with two cups of ice, and blend until mixed. Serve in a hurricane glass.

I have not had it with the icecream, but just on the rocks or blended is great. I am from Pensacola, FL and this is definately a tradition on the beach.

Bushwackers are amazing. This is the closest recipe i have found to recreate the bushwackers i had last time i was on pensacola beach. I suggest adding about a TBSP of chocolate syrup.

I was in Pensacola visiting friends in April 2007 with my fiancee and her little boy. Our friends took us to the beach for the day where i got to try a Bushwacker or two. They are something else. I hope i can recreate one back home so that my friends and family can enjoy it.

I was on vaction with my husband and kids in Orange Beach when we went out for supper and i had my first Bushwacker 'O' MY GOSH it was so good! A tip for all my friends Florbama has the best Bushwackers ever!

All I can think of is having Bushwackers, it sounds sooooo good - my mouth is watering, I think I'm dehydrated. Drinking water would just ruin my Bushwacker fantasy. I just got a boner. Its too bad I'm broke right now. Maybe I'll give some plasma today, I'm sure I could get at least $25 to go towards ingredients. Now that I think about it, I havent even eaten all day, Holy Shit!! I don't even remember the last thing I ate!! Well, I know I had Bushwackers the other day, I definitely remember that.

I currently live and have lived in Pensacola for 17 years and am a very experienced bushwacker drinker. I've had all types but my favorite and how i make them at home is just like above minus the half and half, we use french vanilla ice cream and put chocolate syrup and blend a few chocalate chips in the blender and depending on the mood a little more rum =magnificent!
