How about specifying the scotch - The different flavours intrinsic to the range of blends, vatted & single malt scotch whiskies require subtle changes in the proportion of the ingredients for this drink... Oh yeah - & it has to have bitters (3 drops angostura works best, though you should again vary this according to taste / the characteristics of the base spirit) to be a Rob Roy.
