Daiquiri's are supposed to have lime. Duh. If you don't have lime, it gets too sweet.
This recipe truly is garbage.

This concoction is horrible. Don't waste your time.
Not a cheap banana daiquiri

posted by Aneki @ 07:35PM, 7/17/06

I drank a Banana Daiquiri on the island of Dominica, without the lime. The mixture and everything else was delicious, with the exception of the price: US$7,00. No cheap bananas for tourists!
Its legit

The lime DOES screw it up...remove it, and a little creme de caco....NICE.

I've never been a big fan of banana daiquiris in bars or of ones that I have concocted at home.....until now. This is an exceptionally good rum and fruit cocktail. Bravo!

Try this

Replace the lime and sugar with banana liquere and use more ice or a little water to make less sweet. You can make a variation with some pineapple juice too.
Pretty tasty

posted by Kate @ 01:54PM, 11/05/06

Cut the lime juice in half and add Creme de Banana and its pretty darn good.

The lime juice should only be 1/2 oz and not 1 1/2 oz. It should taste alot better. The triple sec to can be left out.
This recipe was awesome

My mom replaced the alcohol with apple juice and it was still awesome! I loved it, you should try it.

I have my own I use 1 bananna, light rum, lemon juice (instead of lime) sugar syrup (depending in your swetness taste), blend with a cup of ice. You may have to adjust the amounts till you get what you think is good.
Key lime is even better

posted by Allan @ 05:06PM, 1/20/07

Great recipe. I use Nellie & Joe's Key West lime juice and it is perfect. (though I understand that the banana may have something to do with it as well)
Check out my pecks!

Do you guys workout? I workout, and I alway drink banana daiquiries when I'm done flexing my pecks - one might say it's a lifestyle.
Add peanut butter

posted by Katie @ 05:01PM, 4/02/07

If you leave out the lime juice and add a tablespoon of smooth peanut butter, you have the best drink in the enitre world.
Ripe Bananas

I always hated throwing away those really ripe bananas. Take it easy on the lime, great recipe. Am I buzzing????
The lime juice

I think they mean "Roses" Lime juice. I'll try it with that.
Cancun Daiquri

I had the best Banana Daiquri in Cancun Mexico last November. Nobody can make it like the Riu Caribe in Cancun. Just doesnt taste the same. I miss Cancun:(
Banana daquri

This recipe was the worst. I personally have not had a banana daquri but I am sure it was not suppose to taste like crap. I expected more of a smooth sweet taste instead I got a a drink that bit me back with all the lime.
Are you stupid?!

You moron, it would be a daiquiri without the lime.. Then take less lime and more sugar. Like I do, and drop the triple sec for banana liquor.

I got some today (from greece) and it really tastes great. A really nice banana flavor.

Do NOT, under any circumstances, use bottled lime juice (like Rose's). Spring for fresh limes, if available, and hand-squeeze them with one of those little plastic things; if limes are out of season, get a little green plastic lime-shaped squeezy bottle of lime juice. There's a WORLD of difference - bottled lime juice is truly nasty stuff.
