As this is the Americanized version, I understand why the chioce of 7Up. I have found that Fresca is closer in taste to the German version, provided you use a good German or Chezk Pils, but nothing beats the true Pilsner and Zitrone Lemonade.

This drink is a great summer time drink and is so refreshing.
Nice smooth finish

I spent a good deal of time in Europe, and after a couple of litres, a Radler is a nice smooth finish. But definitely not something I'd get more than one of, or off the bat.

You know what <> means?
It's called <> because we use to drink it on hot days at breaktime or after bike tours. It contents only little alcohol so it's all right to go on biking.
But I personally prefer it with Fanta or Coke (but then it's called Diesel - as you already know).
So if you don't like the taste of pure beer (as many young do) mix it with something sweet. And those who get drunk too fast also stay on Radler or Diesel for the whole evening.
