1 oz lime juice
1 1/2 oz vodka
1 tsp powdered sugar

Stir all ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.

Remember, you never use lime juice, you use Roses, and you never put more than a half ounce otherwise you get a disgusting mouth full of lime. Most gimlet drinkers will send a drink back if it has too much roses, its quite a turn off for a drink lover.

I make this with fresh limes (Roses is a distant second--tastes fake!) and simple syrup, but I'm going to try the powdered sugar. Much easier.

If I had a vodka gimlet that was made with 1 1/2 oz of vodka and 1 oz of Roses lime juice, as stated above, I would feed it to a baby. Real vodka gimlet drinkers prefer 3 oz of vodka and 1 oz of Roses lime juice. A small pinch of granular sugar makes the drink a little bit smoother. I have never been able to make powdered sugar completely dissolve into the drink
