This drink is referenced in the song "Thug Passion" by rapper 2Pac in which the ingredients are "alize and cristal". Cristal is the brand name of a well-known Champagne produced by Louis Roederer, Since we don't expect everyone to have $350 for a bottle, we listed generic Champagne.

You can't mix alize with crystal, simply because crystal is champagne, the real one is with hennessey.

In my part of town alize and hennessy is the real thug passion, it gets you twisted plus its stronger and it sneaks up on you.

Listen to the song. 2pac says Alize and Cristal in the first 5 seconds of the song. He doesnt say Henessy. 2pac makes it clear in other songs when he is drinking henessy so I really doubt that he was wrong about this.

Alize and Cristal was the recipe for Thug Passion by Pac...however since most people don't regularly buy Cristal, you can substitute any champagne. Alize and Hennessy was first mentioned in a magazine by DMX, calling it Blood Passion. "Blood is better than Thug" (c)DMX. He stopped using Alize after Remy Red came out...because of the RR initials which went well with his Ruff Ryder mantra...

I have never tried Thug because I haven't done too much champagne in my life, but will be trying it over the New Year. Blood is an easy way to get f***ed out without a clue as to how you got there...you tend to forget that you're using Alize as the chaser, not juice.
