4 oz Champagne
3 - 4 drops lemon juice

Pour pernod into a champagne flute, fill with champagne, and sprinkle with a few drops of lemon juice. Serve.

I've seen this versiion before and don't believe it to be the #2. It was this way in "The Cocktails of the Ritz Paris" but most sources say this drink is made with Lillet Blanc, lemon juice, gin, Cointreau and Herbsaint, with a brandied cherry.
