I thought racehorse names were creative, but coctails take the prize! Back in the late 60s and early 70s there were many San Diego area bars and clubs, including beer and wine bars in La Jolla that were classic dives. Drinking was cheap, as some bars charged a buck for cocktails. I drank many Old Fashioneds and Snowshoes (Wild Turkey and Peppermint Schnapps) besides beer pitchers for a buck and a half.
