Hold lime between finger and thumb, and place salt at base of thumb on same hand. Quickly lick the salt, down the tequila, and bite the lime.

I've been drinking tequila shots forever. Some nights over 12 shots with many beers. I get the training wheels for taste and then chase it with beer.
You dont use the training wheels to be cool. I use them because i like the taste. I'm a chick and I could drink you under the table anytime

A little work but I love the Tequila and this adds a little something. Mash up some Jalapenos and a lime put a couple shots of tequila in and mix and mash a little more, then strain into shot glasses. No salt and lime necessary, some people prefer bread afterwards.

Yes - Patron Silver is the way to go. It's a better "buzz" and very smooth. Kind of pricy but you only need two shots or so to forget about your worries.
