Dark 'n Stormy recipe

Dark 'n Stormy is the unofficial national drink of Bermuda. Gosling owns the trademark on the actual recipe, meaning you cannot use a different brand of rum and call it a Dark 'n Stormy. Not that we'd want to, mind.

The Ginger Beer should also be real Bermuda Ginger Beer. Accept no substitutes.

With the resurrgence of the preppy fashion the Dark n Stormy has resurfaced. I was introduced to this drink this summer. I now make them at home and it is one outstanding summer drink.

The only problem you will have is finding the ginger beer. Barritt's is the brand of choice because it is Bermudan-it's nowhere to be found. I am using Bundaberg and Australian brand and it works perfectly. Also easier to find.
Try this

Use Cruzan's Blackstrap Navy Tradition rum instead of Gosling's. A bit more flavorful.

I live in Bundaberg, Australia and we have a premix drink called dark & stormy using Bundaberg Rum & Bundaberg Ginger Beer. A take off maybe? It tastes bloody good but!
Most addicting drink!

Ginger beer is very difficult to find in Northeast Ohio, especially Bermuda Ginger Beer, so Vernor's Ginger ale is close, very close!
