Pour all ingredients into a large cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into a large cocktail/martini glass (8+ ounces) with a salt rim. Add two olives on a spear, and serve.

No real mexican drink has any mix, use lime juice only. Increase sprite to 1 part and splash of olive juice.
Not without olive juice

Not a real "Mexican Martini" without the splash of olive juice and I agree about the mix. Tequila must be of excellent quality too. This drink is very popular in many AUSTIN restaurants and bars.
Add some spice

Just put one oz orange juice, otherwise it's too orangy.

I'm from austin..... and let me tell you, the best drink here is the mexican martini. Don't add sweet and sour, and keep it real: use lime for sour and use very liitle orange for sweet...go all natural.
LOVE THESE! But...

Chuys has the best Mexican martinis! This one is ok, I think you have to play a little with the mixtures....and jalapeno stuffed olives and olive juice....

They have a two drink limit, but they allow smoking indoors and also serve my favorite drink, the Mexican martini.

Next time I'm there I will try it at the other places you all mention.

This place is hidden on pond springs between anderson mill and mcneil, in cedar park. They are very strong and they use the tall metal mixers and they are full to the rim. Screw the glass drop a straw in the mixer and your good to go.
I bought some mixers for 99 cents ea at garden ridge so my house is the new place to go.
Just go to austin

Anyone whos actually been around town in austin knows trudy's has the best mexican martinis.... chuys has great food but martini is way too bitter... all other places that try to copy trudys end up with overly sour/bitter margaritas.... gotta go to trudys.

I love Jardin, they do have great mexican martinis. They are an authentic Mexican Restaurant, so they know what they are doing. I live right by it, which comes in handy after drinking there, I could walk home!

I love Trudy's mexican martinis, but I must say 219 West's Mexican Martinis are WAAAYYYYY better.
