Obviously, you've never had a good Cosmo. Cut down on the lime juice and increase the cranberry juice. Please check out some of the other recipes. This is the worst I've tried.
Tasty!

This was a very good recipe - a little strong tasting, but in a good way. We didn't have any limes on hand so we used Rose's Sweetened Lime Juice instead, and they came out just fine. I'm sure fresh is better - I'll have to compare them next time.
Don't use lime, ever!

For heaven's sake, get rid of the lime juice. Just icky!! Color should be a light pink. If it's a bright red you're using too much cranberry juice.
Got it better

Well the best recipe I've come up with will be 1.5 oz citron vodka , 0.5 oz triple sec , 0.25 oz fresh lime juice , and only a splash of cranberry. Comes out BEAUTIFULL !!

Right recipe for your special girlfriend !!!
Orange?

But what about the orange peel that all the recipes here are missing...you have to light it and the burnt oils just give it the final touch....without it it's bland..

I know this may seem unconventional... but I put just a dash of Chamboud(sp) in mine... and they are loved!!

We didn't have triple sec, but used cointreau. the ratio of 1 part cointreau and 2 parts vodka is way off - so perhaps the triple sec is a lot weaker. I imagine that it is more like: 1 part triple sec, 3 parts vodka, 3 parts cranberry juice, splash of lime juice.
