Vodka Amaretto Sour recipe

1 1/2 oz amaretto almond liqueur
1 1/2 oz vodka
3 oz liquid sweet and sour mix

Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass, and serve.

I thought that all of the bad of the flavors came out. To me I tasted only the crisp alcohol of the (Skyy) Vodka, the 'edge' of the almond flavor of the Amaretto (Di Saronno) and the Sour bite of the Swwet and sour (Master of mixes). I like sour drinks but did not like this one. I would suggest a Vodka sour (1:4) or an Amaretto Sour (1:1) instead.

Not too bad, be careful how much sweet and sour mix you add. Overall a nice drink.

Add a splash of 7up or gingerale

This recipe just needs some soda - - not club soda but a 7up, Sprite or Ginger ale. A bit more than a splash - between 3/4 oz and 1 1/2 oz and it will be delicious! Also - a vanilla-flavored vodka like Smirnof or Absolut compliments the Amaretto nicely.

My roommate wanted to try an amaretto sour, but that's just not enough booze in one glass. So I added some vodka and then started looking up some other sour recipes and I found it!

Had some amaretto and vodka so i said why not..

nice drink at first thought i didnt think it would taste to good seeing that i dont like vodka to much or care for amaretto but after mixing it blended well and tastes great!

one thing i would change is the sour mix to about 4 oz it makes it flow better and creates the taste i think most people would enjoy.

nice drink if using a lemonade you need around 4 1/2 oz for a smooth taste that blends well.
