The term Loisaida is a Nuyorican term for the Lower East Side neighborhood of Manhattan, New York. The name come from combining sounds from each of the ingredients, as in L(ime), OE (common abbreviation for Olde English) and "Cida" (cider).

Drink approximately 1/3 (or to the top of the label) of a 40 ounce bottle of Olde English "800" malt liquor. Pour apple cider directly into 40 ounce bottle until original level is reached. Drop in a hefty wedge of lime, tumble gently to mix and enjoy.
