The syrup will usually stay at the bottom or in the middle of the drink, thus when you sip, you get the shots of whiskey and the sweet and sour mix first, followed by the maple syrup, thus leaving a hint of maple as an after taste, which is not strong at all.
Was made at the Lewis University campus in Illinois and is the drink of choice by many. We did not have sugar available so we tried syrup that a roomate had,and before we know it,we were making them like crazy.
