Being a chemist, I've a penchant for expanding off of old ideas: I've always been a fan of bourbons and manhattans and decided to make something a little sweeter one night. Best to use Jim Beam or some other low-cost but good-tasting bourbon or whiskey...but by all means: experiment!
The name makes no sense...but it does have a nice ring to it.
